Our commitment to making this website usable by everyone, regardless of device or ability.
This website is built to align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and with the Guidelines for Indian Government Websites (GIGW) 3.0. Alignment with these guidelines is an ongoing effort, and we review the site against them as content and features are added.
A skip link on every page lets keyboard and screen-reader users move straight to the main content. All interactive elements are operable with the keyboard alone, and a visible focus outline shows the current position on the page. Meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text. The site respects your reduced-motion preference and switches off animations when it is set. The colour palette has been checked for sufficient contrast between text and its background.
An accessibility toolbar is available on every page, reached from the button in the bottom corner of the screen. It lets you enlarge the text up to 200% and turn on a high-contrast viewing mode; your choices are remembered on your device. The text-zoom and contrast settings built into your browser and operating system also work with this site.
This website has not been independently audited against WCAG 2.1 Level AA or GIGW 3.0; conformance is self-assessed and reviewed as content and features are added. If you come across a barrier we have not caught, please tell us so we can put it right.
If you have difficulty using any part of this website, or if you find content that is not accessible to you, please contact us. Your feedback helps us identify and fix problems, and we can provide information in an alternative form on request.
