DIET Leh hosts Ladakh's School Leadership Academy, an extended arm of the National Centre for School Leadership (NCSL) at NIEPA, New Delhi. The Academy develops the leadership capacity of school heads, teacher leaders and educational administrators across NCSL's four components — curriculum and material development, capacity building, networking and institutional development, and research and development. NCSL has recognised the Academy's work in co-creating and implementing the programme during 2025–26, and the collaboration continues for 2026–27.

Computational Thinking and Artificial Intelligence enter school education from the 2026–27 session for Classes 3 to 8, aligned to NEP 2020 and the NCF-SE 2023. The emphasis is on problem-solving, digital literacy and ethics rather than tools alone — decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction and algorithmic thinking, taught inside existing subjects at the preparatory stage and as dedicated CT, AI and project work at the middle stage, with no separate board examination. DIET Leh's role is to orient teachers and build the classroom capacity the framework asks for.
