Launched in 2026, a travelling laboratory that brings hands-on STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) learning to schools across Ladakh, particularly remote and hard-to-reach areas. It is equipped with scientific apparatus and experiment kits, engineering models, robotics and coding resources, mathematics learning tools, Augmented and Virtual Reality (AR/VR) technology and an astronomical telescope. On each visit, DIET faculty run interactive experiments, STEM challenges, telescope demonstrations and AR/VR sessions for students at government and private schools in Leh district and other zones of Ladakh.
Established in 2021, a dedicated resource centre for strengthening English language competencies among teacher trainees and educators. Its phonetics laboratory runs SANAKO language-learning software on 11 LAN-connected computers for teacher-led sessions on pronunciation, listening and spoken fluency, and supports DIET Leh's zone-wise English language training for teachers in remote areas.

It is stocked with hands-on teaching-learning materials — counting beads, an abacus, place-value charts, number lines, fraction circles, a geoboard, a balance scale, clock models, a smart TV and locally made low-cost / no-cost TLMs — letting children explore concepts with concrete materials before moving to abstract representation. It runs as a demonstration centre where teachers, teacher educators and students experience child-centred mathematics pedagogy aligned with NEP 2020 and the NIPUN Bharat Mission.
The institute's ICT facility, and the district's base for digital systems support. Under Samagra Shiksha, teacher education institutions are to have a minimum level of ICT infrastructure, with the aim of making teachers and teacher educators ICT literate, and are expected to build ICT into pre-service and in-service professional development rather than treat it as a subject apart. At DIET Leh the lab supports that training work and also carries ERP implementation and digital systems support for schools across Leh district.
